Leading care home operator Graham Care has announced plans for further expansion following the completion of an additional £15 million funding package with Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank.
Graham Care, which already operates seven care homes in Kent, Surrey and Sussex, will open a new facility at Hawkhurst, and complete a major redevelopment of its existing care home at Rodwell Farm in Surrey.
Construction work on both developments is scheduled for completion by the beginning of 2016, and will create around 150 new jobs across the two facilities. On opening, overall capacity at Graham Care’s homes will increase from 520 to around 650 places.
Graham Care managing director Ernie Graham (right with Clydesdale and Yorhsire Bank's Johnny Rowe) said: “The launch of our new home at Hawkhurst and the redevelopment of our original facility at Rodwell Farm will ensure that we provide the best possible experiences for our residents and further strengthen our position in the sector.
“Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank funded our original development at Rodwell back in 1996, and we greatly appreciate the support which they have provided since that time. We are continuing to target growth for the business and we have a strong development pipeline in place for the years ahead”.
