Half of Bupa’s care homes set to go to HC-One

It is reported that the long awaited deal for HC-One to buy half of Bupa’s care homes is close to completion.

City sources said HC-One, led by Chai Patel, has agreed to pay up to £450 million for the 150-home portfolio. The deal will make HC-One the largest care home company in the country, potentially worth more than £1 billion.

However, it is said the deal could collapse if Patel fails to raise enough funds. The entrepreneur has a few weeks to come up with the financing.
