New funding of £41m means Inverness-based care home operator Meallmore can refurbish its homes and build new properties.
The group is one of Scotland’s largest independents and has secured the financial backing from HSBC UK.
Over the next two years the family-run business will open care homes in Ayr, Falkirk, Dumbarton and Aberdeen.
Operations director Mary Preston said this is good news after a challenging year.
“Reflecting on the past few months has only solidified our belief that more investment is needed. This will make sure that care homes are delivering for the needs of residents.”
We work hard to deliver individually-tailored care, while allowing them to be as independent as they wish.”
The group operates 25 care homes across all regions of Scotland. It specialises in dementia care, nursing care, specialist adult care and respite and short stay care.
