Audit tool to support care providers with infection prevention and control procedures developed

The National Care Forum, Quality Compliance Systems and Standards Wise International have developed an audit tool which enables care providers to enhance infection prevention and control procedures.

The IPC compliance assessment tool supports providers in assessing their own practices, and prepare evidence for audit which not only meets CQC requirements but also conforms to international standards.

The tool is structured around eight questions and prompts that inspectors will use when assessing infection prevention and control procedures in all care settings in England from September.

Each of the eight subject areas are broken down into easily digestible points and include an ‘evidence of good practice’ section.

Providers can identify areas of improvement and rectify them using policies and procedures created by QCS.
