#betterpay4socialcare action week takes place on September 6-10

From Monday 6 to Friday 10 September, the #BetterPay4SocialCare coalition will be calling for support for all social care workers to receive a minimum of the Real Living Wage of £9.50 (£10.85 in London).

The coalition, which comprises 28 social care organisations across the country will be urging people to sign a petition which will be delivered to HM Treasury on September 21.

The campaign week will include videos and images from a range of people, in support of better financial recognition for social care workers. On Tuesday 7 September, Liz Kendall MP, shadow minister for Health & Social Care, will take part in a panel discussion organised by The Care Workers Charity and #BetterPay4SocialCare.
