Avery Healthcare and Tanglewood care homes were the big winners in the 2018 Care Home Awards, presented at the 2018 Health Plus Care conference and exhibition yesterday.
In total, Avery Healthcare scooped four awards:
- Best large care home award
- Best for nutrition, food and dining experience
- Best for sport, social and leisure activity
- Best training initiative.
Meanwhile, Tanglewood care homes took the overall award for best small care home group, as well as category awards for specialist care and non-clinical facilities.
Also winning big at the awards was The Close care home, run by Sanjay Dhrona, which took the overall best individual care home award, and was highly commended in other categories including best outdoor space.
Care UK took the award for best single care home in a group for Mildenhall Lodge, and it was highly commended for Whitby Dean.
