Westfield House Care Home in Harrogate, part of Four Seasons Health Care, is supporting Horizon Life Training, a Christian charity dedicated to re-educating and restoring former drug and alcohol addicts back into the community.
The home recently took on Josh Munns, an enthusiastic volunteer, who has jumped at the life changing opportunity to work alongside the team. After initially volunteering to help the activities coordinator, Josh is now working towards his Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care. His passion and dedication to the job has meant that he is now able to take on part-time paid employment with the aim of working full-time after his graduation in September.
Four Seasons Health Care will be sponsoring part of the graduation ceremony and will present Josh with his diploma.
Julie Fieldman, manager of Westfield House Care Home commented: “Josh is loved by all of our residents and it has been great watching him take the steps towards his graduation. He has very much become part of the team here and has proved that he’ll make a valuable addition to the home. I feel very honoured to have been part of his journey and look forward to presenting him with his graduation certificate.”
