Care work is the most stressful of all, survey says

Working in the care industry is the most stressful of 10 professions, according to a survey by CV-Library.

The jobs site finds that over 86 per cent of care professionals feel stressed, by factors such as  increasing workload. their manager, tight deadlines and making a mistake. Almost half (47.4 per cent)  of care workers said this impacts their private life; almost three in five stressed care workers said it left in a low mood even after they leave work.  

Stress levels in social care are higher than those in sales and accounting, finds CV-Library. The full list of stressful professions includes:

  1. Social Care – 86.4 per cent
  2. Recruitment – 81.8 per cent
  3. Sales – 79.2 per cent
  4. Accounting – 76.7 per cent
  5. Construction – 76 per cent
  6. Marketing – 73.7 per cent
  7. IT – 70 per cent
  8. Legal – 70 per cent
  9. Design – 69.2 per cent
  10. Manufacturing – 68.6 per cent.
