Care workers’ charity Covid-19 emergency fund temporarily closes

The Care Workers’ Charity has had to close applications for their Covid-19 Emergency Fund due reduced funds.

The Covid-19 Emergency Fund has helped those who are currently employed in the care sector and must take time off work due to Covid-19 for either illness or self-isolation.

The Care Workers’ Charity has given out a total of over £1.8 million in grants. In October alone, 248 Covid-19 grants were awarded, totalling £135,314.
