A carer at a Godalming care home has received a personalised thank-you from Prime Minister Boris Johnson at a reception at 10 Downing Street.
Karen Roberts, who works as a wellbeing co-ordinator at CHD Living’s Surrey Heights care home, has been personally thanked by Johnson as well as some of the UK’s top social care workers for her incredible resilience and dedication to those in her care throughout the coronavirus crisis.
Karen was nominated for the special recognition at the event organised by the Prime Minister’s office by fellow peers and managerial staff. Karen, pictured here to Mr Johnson’s left, and wearing a burgundy scarf and black dress, said she was delighted and amazed to receive the personalised ‘thank you’ from the Prime Minister.
Shaleeza Hasham, head of hospitality and communications at CHD Living, added: “Karen has been an asset to the Surrey Heights team. We are beyond grateful for the incredible work our carers have done.”
