Trewiston Lodge Nursing Home in the Cornwall village of St Minver, a few miles from the North Cornish coast, has been acquired by a long-standing and experienced, family-run operator which has four other homes in Plymouth and South East Cornwall.
Since 2006, the home that is registered for 32 residents, has been owned and operated by Cornish based operator, Blakeshields Ltd, and was recently brought to market through Christie & Co.
Stephen Godfrey, Director at Blakeshields Ltd, said: “Trewiston is a really friendly home, and we wish the buyers every success in this chapter of its journey.”
Simon Harvey, Senior Director – Care at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, said: “Trewiston Lodge will make an excellent addition to the buyer’s portfolio, and we wish them well for the future of this home and their other businesses.
“This is the second care home we have sold in Cornwall in as many months and, along with other ongoing activity generally, this is further evidence of the appetite that exists across the county and the wider region from a range of purchasers seeking to acquire care businesses in the South West.”
