Wales reports below average Covid booster uptake by care home staff

Just over one in four (27%) frontline health and social care workers have received their Covid 19 booster, data from NHS Wales reveals.

This number drops to 15 per cent of other staff working in care homes for adults.

The data set, COVID-19 vaccination shows that 81 per cent of residents in care home for older adults have been vaccinated.

In total only 35 per cent of all eligible people have received their booster.

Health and Social Services Minister Eluned Morgan said: “If you are eligible and you haven’t come forward yet, now is the time to get protected.”
