“The dream for any care home employer is when people speak about you in a positive way; they can be your biggest ambassadors,” said Sam Greenhalgh, business development manager at Florence, a nurse recruitment app.
Speaking exclusively to Care Home Management at the recent Dementia Care and Nursing Home Expo 2019, he says that social media such as Facebook, Instagram and Linked In now play an enormous role in the development of a care home’s brand, as well as in the recruitment and retention of staff. Today, he says fewer than five per cent of nurses find their new job on job boards.
