ECCA 2013 Conference to focus on Safeguarding

Safeguarding reform will provide the theme for the ECCA 2013 Conference & Exhibition.  Under the title ‘Safe & Sound’ the event will take place at the Church House Conference Centre in London on Wednesday, 6 November. The speaker programme will be announced shortly,

As ever more people experience the challenges of age, disability or long term illness and rely on residential or domiciliary care, ECCA is championing the case for a single, national definition of Safeguarding and a robust set of National standards.

Says ECCA chief executive, Professor Martin Green: ‘Safeguarding is in complete disarray and we have seen too many occasions when trivial incidents are blown up into safeguarding alerts by overzealous local authorities. The speakers at our Conference will examine the status quo and set out their proposals for a single, streamlined, national process which listens to providers and learns from their experience .’

The conference will also feature seminars and an exhibition of products and services from leading sector suppliers to complement the speaker programme.

Delegate booking for the event is now open and further information is available from www.ecca.org.uk or conference@ecca.co.uk.
