Farmers’ home rated ‘Outstanding’

A Somerset retirement home for farmers has been rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission.

Beaufort House at Burnham-on-Sea is owned and run by the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (R.A.B.I), a charity which provides financial help to people from the farming community. R.A.B.I gives out grants to the farming sector of around £2m per year and has been especially busy in 2016 helping working farmers.
