Care home construction company, Goldfinch Developments has secured a contract worth £5.2 million with specialist care provider Glenholme Healthcare Group.
Goldfinch was appointed to carry out the work on the Glenholme site in Sleaford, Lincolnshire after sourcing the land and giving early detailed advice on build-ability, design and specification.
The 64 bed home, which has the potential for a further 20 assisted living apartments, is being built across a two acre site and will specialise in nursing and dementia care.
Managing director of Goldfinch Developments, Kevin Storey said: “We are thrilled to have secured our first contract with Glenholme, which has come from our long-standing relationships with their directors.
“Back in the nineties our marketing and business management director Geoff Baxter and his team built many new care homes for the directors at Glenholme when they worked for Westminster Healthcare. A number of their team approached Geoff about rekindling that relationship to allow them to re-enter the elderly care sector.”
Kent Phippen, managing director of the Glenholme Group said: “We are excited about re-entering the elderly care market and again working with the directors of Goldfinch on the Sleaford development. We are actively pursuing other sites and look forward to a continued relationship with Goldfinch.”
The home is scheduled to open its doors to its first residents in late summer 2018.
