Glebelands, a care home in Wokingham, has been acquired by Greensleeves Care, an award-winning care home charity. The new home becomes the 21st member of the Greensleeves Care family that currently provides residential, dementia & nursing care to over 800 people across the Midlands, Southern and Eastern England.
The sale of the home by the Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund (CTBF) is a key part of The CTBF’s change to its long-term strategy which involves a refocusing of its efforts to better support its members to meet their changing needs and lifestyles.
Paul Newman, chief executive of Greensleeves Care, welcomed the agreement: “We are really looking forward to the residents and staff of Glebelands joining Greensleeves Care and extending our sector-leading support services to them.
“We have much in common and share fundamental values about our approach to care. Care is at the heart of everything we do. Like us, they are focused on making a positive difference to the lives of residents and we will work closely with them to ensure the handover is as smooth as possible.”
D’Arcy Myers, Interim CEO of The CTBF, commented: “I’m really pleased we have been able to conclude the sale of Glebelands to Greensleeves Care as I believe they will build on its track record as a fantastic care home that provides a very personal and warm service to its residents.”
