Many care homes are making it unnecessarily difficult for themselves to hire good people by setting self-imposed limitations during their recruitment process.
These include wanting all applicants to have a driving licence, only wanting to hire female carers and expecting people to fill in pages of forms.
At the Residential & Home Care Show, Tobi Alli-Usman, founder of care home marketing experts Smooth Digital, spoke about how providers can avoid these barriers to recruitment.
