Care homes have until Sunday 31 October to send in decorated biscuits and biscuit-themed desserts for McVitie’s Tasties’ competition in association with NAPA (the National Activity Providers Association).
It’s free and easy to take part, care homes just need to come up with a theme for their biscuits, get creative, and then email photos of the resulting creations to firstname.lastname@example.org
Alongside the biscuit competition, care home cooks are also being challenged to make their best dessert using McVitie’s Tasties. The winning recipe will net the home a £1,000 afternoon tea for all care home staff and residents to enjoy.
Care home cooks need to send photos of their desserts alongside the recipe, cost per portion, nutritional details, and five pieces of resident feedback. The top recipes will be featured alongside the winner in a downloadable recipe book, which will be sent to all participating care homes in December 2021.
These challenges are part of the McVitie’s Tasties Care Home Challenge developed by snacking company pladis in association with NAPA. Challenge packs are available from NAPA.
