The professional division of Miele is marking its 120-year anniversary with the launch of its Octoplus range of washing machines and tumble dryers.
The Octoplus 120 series offers increased load capacity, reduced water consumption and lower energy usage, all at the same price point as its predecessor.
Boasting a load capacity of 9kg, the Octoplus models are highly suited to the medium-scale laundry needs of care homes.

The washing machines include 55 different programmes which can be pre-installed on the machines to suit a broad range of requirements. From settings that cater for hygiene regulations, to specific washes based on garment types such as bedlinen and work wear. Customers can also take advantage of the range’s adaptable Profitronic L Vario controls to tailor the machine to their specific laundry environments.
The PW 6080 XL and PT 7186 XL within the Octoplus range, also comply with Miele’s sustainability pledge by reducing water and energy usage. Both washer and dryer models feature Miele’s unique honeycomb drum, cushioning laundry to ensure gentle fabric care.
Sam Bailey, sales & marketing director for the professional division of Miele, said the launch of the Octoplus 120s demonstrates that the company understands the various challenges faced in busy laundry environments. “We are constantly looking for innovative ways to improve our models,” he says. “Octoplus customers will benefit from the increased load capacity, the versatility of programmes and have the Miele quality guarantee that assures the longevity of the product.”
