New app helps fill vacancies with experienced carers

A new service has been launched to link self-employed, experienced and vetted carers with care providers.

DirectCareHub is a staffing app which charges care homes a percentage management fee. Carers can choose where and when they work based on location and hourly rate. The service is available on iPhone and Android.

Care providers can watch this short video to see how the app works.

“DirectCareHub is not an employment agency but an app-based link between self-employed carers and care providers,” said founder and former carer Andrew Milbank.

“Users can opt to use an independent payroll company so they do not have to worry about doing their own tax. We also have links to an independent mediation service which carers and providers can use to resolve disagreements.”

Carers and providers can register their interest to be vetted and added to the service.
