Prime Time Recruitment opens new office to help skills shortage in social care

The social care division of Prime Time Recruitment, one of the UK's leading recruitment agencies owned by Cordant Group, has opened a new office in Peterborough to respond to a demand for more skilled health and social care professionals in the region.

Prime Time set up the office in Cowgate after receiving a high number of enquiries from local public and private sector health and social care organisations looking for more nurses, care and project workers wanting permanent or temporary positions.

It will be Prime Time's thirteenth agency in the social care division and will become the organisation's National Centre of Excellence. Registered candidates will get access to a network of services to help develop their skills, support their careers and rewarded for the great work they provide.

All candidates registered with the agency – including those with a minimum of six months experience in health and social care – will receive continuous training by Prime Time's team of specialist trainers, Footsteps in Care, to help develop their skills, ensure they're of the highest standard and meet Care Quality Commission regulations.

Candidates can tap into a resource centre to get support such as CV and interview advice, a Skype facility to help overseas workers stay in touch with family, a confidential helpline on matters such as bereavement, a mentoring programme and a work referral scheme. The office will also be holding regular social events to bring candidates together as a team and will run reward schemes such as 'Candidate of the Month'.
