Reduce laundry and clothing stress with laser-etched labels

Carers can spend hours searching through laundry for lost articles of clothing or residents can end up wearing the wrong clothes which is distressing for them and their families.

One solution from Snappy Tags is to use permanently laser-etched labels on residents’ clothing to avoid confusion.

According to a survey of 160 care homes by laundry equipment supplier Electrolux Professional, 69% of respondents said the loss or damage of clothing was a highly important concern. Meanwhile across the UK, care home staff can spend more than 6,000 hours a week searching through lost property and residents’ rooms to find mislaid clothing.

The Snappy Tags technology means the resident’s name or room number do not fade even after many washes. The tags are snapped onto the garment using an applicator and can be easily removed and placed on a different item of clothing.

“The tags are about the size of a 5p coin and are like a button so very discreet,” says office manager Liz Waites. “The tags can be ordered by the care home or by the family and our details are often included in welcome packs.”

The Snappy Tags are supplied in packs of 25 and 50.

  • Care Home Management readers will receive one free applicator when they order five or more packs of 50 Snappy Tags (new customers only).
