Santa’s little helpers spread cheer at Dorset home

SCHOOL pupils from the Blandford Forum area have been using their Christmas creativity to spread smiles among the residents of one care home.

Conscious of the debate about loneliness among the elderly, the pupils of Milldown School decided to spend some ‘end of term’ time, designing a series of Christmas cards, especially for residents at Blandford Grange.

One selected Year Five student then took a special trip to the home, accompanied by headteacher Mr Law.

Debbie Davis, manager at Blandford Grange, said: “We were so touched that the Year 5 pupils had devoted time to creating the lovely cards, and that they were keen to do something for our residents.

“We all really enjoyed meeting both Douglas, and his headteacher Mr Law.”

Blandford Grange is a home managed by Healthcare Homes.
