Scottish Care seeks manager input for new digital social care policy

Scottish Care  is seeking input from care managers to support the development of rights-based digital health and social care policy and practice across Scotland.

To incorporate practice-based scenarios into this work, Scottish Care is hosting a workshop for care managers on Monday 5 July, 13:00 – 15:00.

Updated digital social care policy aims to build on the six principles of the Human Rights Charter for Technology and Digital in Social Care launched by Scottish Care in September 2019. These are:

  • People at the centre
  • Human rights foundations
  • Digital as ongoing choice
  • Digital where it is best suited
  • Digital inclusion, not just widening access
  • Personal ownership of digital data.

The policy update is in partnership with The Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (the ALLIANCE) and VOX (Voices Of eXperience)
