Sheffield care centre opens for viewing

A new care centre for Sheffield is set to open its doors to the public for an informal viewing next week – 29 May.

Wood Hill House care centre, in Burngreave, is a purpose-built rehabilitation and convalescence home for people aged 18 and above.

Horzion Care, who run the centre are holding the special open day to launch their permanent services in the city.

Laura Higginbottom, managing director of Horizon Care said: “We are delighted to be launching our permanent services at Wood Hill House. We are looking forward to welcoming people to come and take a look around our fantastic facilities.

“People have so many preconceptions and negative feelings about care and we want to help to dispel the myths. Wood Hill House has been built and fitted to a high standard and provides state of the art rehabilitative, residential and nursing care across four floors.  We offer a modern, high-quality environment that is fit for the demands and expectations of the 21st century.

“We really do want people to see for themselves that there are places that have been built and are run with individual’s care at the heart of all they do.”

The centre offers full time rehabilitation, ad-hoc hydrotherapy, day-care, and respite and is the only care facility in Yorkshire with a 360 degree view roof garden.
