Inspired Inspirations has seen increased interest among providers for its touch screen activity tables.
The tables offer more communication options, such as video calling, and extra resident activities, including brain training, creativity and physical exercises.
“Think of a giant Android tablet, with access to Google play store for 1,000s of free apps,” says marketing director Stewart Bates.
The screen is built into a solid steel unit and finished off with a solid oak surround and other wood trims for a warm aesthetic look. The screen is 5mm tempered glass for strength and will withstand water spillages.
“Residents have been able to Zoom-call multiple loved ones at once from around the world and take reminiscence tours on Google Earth,” says Bates. “They can also revisit favourite sporting moments or watch documentaries of their hobbies on YouTube.”
Physical activities include cycling, skiing and even snorkelling tours with homemade apparatus, plus sing-along and dance nights. There are also relaxation, quiet time and creativity apps, music therapy and sensory activities for residents with dementia.
