Albion Care Communities (ACC), an investor and developer of quality care homes for the elderly, has begun two further developments in Abergavenny and Hereford.
The two care homes are due to open in early 2019, each providing facilities to 70 residents. They will include a café, gym, cinema room, hairdressing salon, dedicated activity spaces and extensive landscaped gardens. Care services will include residential, nursing and dementia care.
In August, ACC opened its first development, Pine Martin Grange, a 64 bed purpose built care home in Wareham, Dorset.
ACC is becoming a leading regional investor and developer with 271 beds currently in operation or development. To date, the company has raised approximately £50 million in debt and equity funding and has access to further finance to enable its ambitious expansion programme.
Mike Parsons, chairman of Albion Care Communities, said: “We are excited to commence development of our third and fourth care homes. Our strategy is to become the care home of choice in each locality and our two homes in Abergavenny and Hereford will be no exception, combining innovative design and extensive high end facilities. Both homes will provide exceptional levels of personalised care services to residents and will be a hub for the local community.”
ACC was founded in 2016 by a team with significant experience of developing, commissioning and operating private elderly care homes, combining over 100 years of health and social care experience. The company is chaired by Mike Parsons, founder of Barchester Healthcare and a main board director of McCarthy & Stone. The principal shareholders of ACC are the management team and partners of Albion Capital LLP, a fund manager with a long record of successfully backing fast growing companies.
