Care UK has recently completed building two new care homes in Hampshire which together will provide full-time residential, nursing and specialist dementia care for up to 145 older people.
The completion of the first of the two new homes, Dashwood Manor in Basingstoke (opening in October 2021), was celebrated by the mayor of Basingstoke, the Care UK team, and representatives from specialist construction partner, Highwood.
Mayor of Basingstoke, Councillor Diane Taylor said: “I was delighted to take part in this special topping out ceremony in which the final tile is laid on the roof of the building. This is an important milestone in the construction of a new care home in Basingstoke, which will bring to our town an excellent purpose-built facility for local residents.”
Dashwood Manor includes its own cinema, hair salon and café and has been designed to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives to promote independence.
The completion of the second new home, Ancasta Grove, was celebrated by the Mayor of Fareham. The purpose-built care home is expected to welcome its first residents in March 2021 and includes its own cinema, hair salon and café.
