Three provider events have been scheduled to support changes to the Care Inspectorate Wales improvement and enforcement policy.
The key changes are as follows:
- The term ‘Service of Concern’ is no longer used. Where there are regulatory failings and concerns about the impact on people, services will be referred to an Improvement and Enforcement Panel. The role of the panel will be to determine actions to be taken
- Detailed notices of non-compliance within inspection reports will no longer be published on the CIW website. The inspection report will only contain high level detail of areas on non-compliance.
- Detailed notices such as Priority Action Notices (non-compliance notices) will be issued separately to the provider and copies given to the commissioner.
An information event for adult and children’s service providers is scheduled for Monday 15 March, 12:00–1pm.
